** Golden Acorn Award **
Congratulations to our Golden Acorn winners
Marsha Kauzlarich and Jennie Wildermuth.
Marsha and Jennie are being honored for their exceptional volunteerism and dedication to the students of Maple Hills.
Marsha has been an active volunteer at Maple Hills for the past five years. In addition to classroom work, she actively supports our music department, organizes Field Day, and led this year’s Global Reading Challenge.
Jennie is a familiar face at school. You may see her in the classrooms or volunteering in the library or music room. She is always willing to step up to help get the job done. Jennie is the current PTA President and also works with the 21 other PTAs in the Issaquah School District.

** Outstanding Advocate Award **
Congratulations to Dawn Peschek for being awarded the Outstanding Advocate.
This state PTA award recognizes individuals for their advocacy work on youth issues. Dawn participates in numerous legislative activities including Legislative Assembly and Focus Day. She provides advocacy information to Maple Hills through the PTA newsletter. Additionally, Dawn is an active school volunteer involved in many areas including the Yearbook and Variety Show.
** Volunteer of the Month **
Congratulations! to Volunteer of the Month Brook Gouge. Brook is doing a great job organizing the Math Club program for both Spring and Fall sessions. She provides new and exciting learning experiences for the kids every Thursday morning before school. She has made each week a fun adventure for te kids - they don't even mind getting up early to go - they are excited to see what Brook has planned for them every week. Thank you Brook for putting such a wonderful program together which benefits our Maple Hills kids in so many ways!
