2009-2010 Nominating Committee

are looking for members who are interested in becoming more involved in the decision making process.

  PTA Board of Directors positions are: 

President:  Preside at all Maple Hills PTA meetings, communicate all information to and from the Maple Hills Members, Issaquah Council, State and National PTA.  Oversee several committees.

Vice President:  Perform duties of the President in his/her absence, oversee several committees and contact Committee Chairs regarding newsletter articles.

Secretary:  Keep accurate records of all meetings.  Consult President on agenda items, send reminders and post minutes.

Treasurer:  Attend necessary training, keep up to date records, receive and issue receipts, dispense all monies according to the approved budget.

Director of Volunteers:  Organize volunteer sign-up and distribute list to appropriate committee chairs and board members.  Oversee several committees and take nominations for Volunteer of the Month.

Director of Membership:  Recruit members for the Maple Hills PTA, oversee several committees and maintain regular contact with committee chairperson to ensure they have the help needed.

Director of One-Time Events:  Oversee several committees.

Director of On-Going Programs: Oversee several committees.

Director of Ways & Means:  Oversee all fundraisers.

Auction Chair(s):  Attend training classes.  Present a Plan of Action and Budget Report.  Be in constant communication with President, Director of Ways and Means and Treasurer.

Newsletter Editor: Collect articles and publish PTA Newsletter.

Legislative Representative:  Communicate Legislative news to the Board and Membership.

Site Council Representative:  Attend all PTA meetings and Maple Hills Elementary Site Council meetings.  Communicate information between the two groups.
