The Eagle Reader program is our reading incentive program held October through April. 
The Goal of the Eagle Reader program is to encourage daily reading at age-appropriate level. 

Students mark their minutes daily on a
calendar that is sent home each month.  Students can be read to, can read to someone else, or can read on his or her own.  Students are encouraged to read every day.  If you are unable to read on a given day, you may make up those minutes on another day. 

For a minimum amount of minutes read each month, students choose a book to keep during the Eagle Reader Clubhouse held during lunch recess in the Main Hall.  Clubhouses are held once a month.

March 25th
April 22nd
May 20th

If you have misplaced your students calendar you may download and print a copy.

Turning in your calendar:
Students turn in their calendars on the day noted at the end of each month's calendar.  If you are unable to attend school when the calendar is due, turn it in to your teacher as soon as you can.  Please make sure the calendar is received within three days following the calendar due date.  If you are unable to do so, please contact Dana Warner, Eage Reader Chair.

Awards:

• If you reach your Regal Eagle goal, you will receive a purple Regal Eagle award slip and will be entitled to choose a free book from the Eagle Reader Clubhouse (the first of which will be held in November during the lunch hour, half day kindergarten books will be brought to the classroom for them to choose).  Students will bring their purple award slip with them on the day of the Clubhouse and trade it for a book.
• If you reach the Eagle Effort goal, you will receive a yellow Eagle Effort award slip.  After you have accumulated 3 Eagle Effort award slips, you will receive a green Effort Bonus slip, you will then be entitled to choose a fee book from the Clubhouse.
